IYO is the ending of UKIYO, a Japanese word for “floating world”. According to Japanese tradition, everything has a start and comes to an end: IYO it’s a invitation to enjoy the climax, the highest state of the floating process.
Opened in Milan in 2007 by Claudio Liu, IYO offers sushi and contemporary Japanese haute cuisine. The restaurant is the first “non Italian cuisine” restaurant in Italy to be awarded one Star in 2015, confirmed over the years until the last edition Guida MICHELIN Italia 2024.
One of a kind, IYO is the signature of an omni comprehensive cuisine that encompasses every aspect of the culinary experience, always in search of excellence as in flavours, as in aesthetic.
